Re: head and tail lights not working

I have searched my factory drawings on DVD and find nothing common to all three other than the load relief relay. It is designed to cut off the head lights and other loads during cranking of the engine. Often this relay malfunctions if the starter ground bolt is loose. The starter may operate but if the ground is not solid the relay will not get its ground and remain open removing voltage from several systems not essential for engine running. It is hard to get to this bolt but it is worth a try. It is circled in red on picture 2.

Re: head and tail lights not working

It is in the same relay box as everything else, under the tank.

Sounds like you donít have a Clymer manual. That should be your next purchase along with the relay.

I donít know which relay it is off-hand and I am not at home to check the manual. I suspect a Google search will find it.
