K1200 lt 2002 rear tyre

Can I change the rear tyre size for my 2002 k1200 lt from a 160/70-17 to a 170/70-17? I was wanting to try the Metezler Roadtec 01 but there is not a 160/70, but either a 150/70 or the 170/70. Thinking the 170 to be better option???

The LT is specked for a 79V rated tire with reinforced sidewalls on the rear. Very few tires meet that specification. I would stick with the size and rating for what is meant to be on an LT. It is the only thing between you and the asphalt.
