Used Fob available if Someone Needs it

When I took my alarm off and got rid of it I never thought perhaps someone might need a part however I do have one fob that worked before I removed the alarm. It has a new battery inside if anyone wants it and I will pay for postage within reason. Not even sure anyone needs these but just let me know on here. hopefully you know the voodoo needed to re-program, lol. You may need to defuzz the velcro someone used to keep it from rattling about.

I'm new to BMW,, just got 2005 K1200lt ,, no manuals , one fob that needs buttons pushed to get it started.. Would be nice to have second fob incase the one is lost or don't work .. Somehow I would like to get in touch and see how to get it.. Thanks ,,, coolken

I don't think they are compatible as they changed the alarm in 05. OK I just checked and the part number is the same for both alarms so go for it.

You can actually re-program the alarm on your 05 to disable the immobilizer. That way it is only active when you have set the alarm. Default from the factory is to have the immobilizer set every time you turn off the key. I turned mine off the day I got it and have never needed the fob to start the bike.

If it does not work out for someone else, I would like to purchase or at least pay postage COD.

I have a fob from an 08. Don't know the condition of the battery or anything. It's been sitting for a couple of years. Pretty much all of the printing on the fob is gone. It worked fine when last used. FREE.

if nobody else has claimed it and it will work with an 09, I'll take it.

Bill, I try to get it in the mail in the morning. I can't seem to send you a private msg. This is the dumbest web site I've ever seen. Glad to hear someone can get some use out of it

Yes, I'm having a time trying to learn it also. I still have not been able to get into the classified ad section yet. Thank so much for your generosity.

Apologies, I went to Fort Worth for the week to a big dog show to help my wife, just got back last night. If you still want it just IM me a mailing address and I will send to you! I will PM you my phone, too.

Shipped USPS, tracking 9500 1156 1982 9084 2958, expected delivery 3/28/19. sorry to have to do this in the posting section. I use the corvette forum which uses the same software. Free ads, unlimited msgs and posts. Can't understand why you would put up a web page, hoping for usage, then restrict usage until you meet their ego.

Hooligan, guess what was in the mail box when I got home. Thanks again. Can I a least reimburse you for the postage?

Re: Used Fob available if Someone Needs it

Not necessary, glad I could help. Hope it works for you. I know the red light came on when button was pushed. I don't know how to reprogram it, but I'm sure you will figure it out.
