Antenna issues

I have 1999 K1200lt. The bottom of the antenna is corroded. The spring and contact is shot.

Is there a short antenna or an alternative antenna that works?

Please post link where to buy it.

Thank you.

Re: Antenna issues

Over the years there had been some guys turning to this...Tune Trapper Hidden AM FM Antennas For Motorcycles

If you call, mention the K1200LT specifically as they will make one to the perfect length to install behind pillion and under topcase.

Re: Antenna issues

I bought a stubby antenna recently, and want to install it in place of the original tall mast on my K1200LT. How do I non-destructively remove the original mast to screw in the stubby??? It just doesnít seem to want to budge.

If I understand your issue correctly, there is a plastic shroud at the base of the antenna that you need to turn anti-clockwise about a 1/4 turn. You can then lift the piece of plastic up to expose the connection point of the antenna. You will see where you can unscrew the base.
