Missing seat adjuster

I recently swapped my K1200RS for a somewhat neglected LT. I tried to raise the seat today and the adjuster is missing. Max wants $300 for the part. Does anyone have a spare? I struck out at BBY and fleabay.

Looking forward to the first ride, but saw six plus inches of snow today so riding is probably 3-4 weeks off yet. It needs tires and and the usual stuff for a neglected 2003. Thanks.

Re: Missing seat adjuster

Hence the, "I struck out at BBY". Not a listed part. I did send an email inquiry off as well. I will hear from them on Monday I'm sure. Thanks.

Re: Missing seat adjuster

It would help to add the year of your LT. The 1999 to 2004 seat height adjuster is different than the 2005 to 2009 seat height adjuster.

Re: Missing seat adjuster

2003. That is in the original post. Mike got back to me already and Beemerboneyard doesn't have one. Anyone got one?

Re: Missing seat adjuster

Problem solved. I bought an EBay seat for $50. Now I have a spare seat with heat and a height adjuster.
Voyager and Munmi like this.

Re: Missing seat adjuster

The factory low seat option had no adjuster from the get go so that is probably what you had.

Thanks for the info - that makes sense. From the fiche it looks like the seats themselves are also different. I need to go as tall as possible on this.

Re: Missing seat adjuster

Mine was missing too when I bought my LT used. I eventually found a decent buy on a used rider's saddle on eBay and took the adjuster off of that one. Spent $50 if I remember correctly. Good luck!
