Indicator coming on

Hi was riding with my brother the other day and my indicators were coming on, I had no idea as there was nothing on the dash coming on my brother asked why I kept turning them on. Is this a common fault. My bike is a 2000 k1200lt

I have not encountered that malfunction. It doesn’t sound good. Do they work normally when you do turn them on / off?

It isn't a common fault that I am aware of. One that is more common and does cause issues with lights flickering is the hex bolt on the starter coming loose and the lights flicker as the load shed relay looses its ground reference through the starter. Might be worth a look to see. It is visible with a really good flashlight looking forward in front of the battery. Tough to get to though. Look to see if it looks loose or is possibly missing. Can cause some odd electrical issues. Other than that, you may be dealing with a bad switch or a short/chaffed wire somewhere.
