Cruise Control not working in cold weather

I have had this happen three times now. When the temp. gets in the low 40's the cruise control won't work. I have no idea how or where to look for a solution or if this is the nature of the beast. When it gets warmer the cruise starts working. Any ideas?

Re: Cruise Control not working in cold weather

I have the same problem when the temps gets below 60F. I've had it tested, adjusted by the dealer and operationally, it's within specifications.Hopefully the smart people on this forum can solve this dilemma.

Most likely one of the safety switches is just out of alignment. There is a diagnostic you can run through. It is most likely the clutch switch. But there is also one on each brake and throttle return

Re: Cruise Control not working in cold weather

Try loosening the closer cable (it is the inboard one) adjuster a turn or two up at the throttle grip. That may help. The manual states the amount of slack to adjust in referenced with a hot engine (0.5 mm), whereas the cold setting is 1.5 mm. So you can see the difference temperature makes.
