Air temp gauge limits?

Anyone know what the minimum limits on the LT's air-temp gauge is?
Mine hit 0.0 deg C on recent trip, but I'm sure it was colder than that.
Can it go into negative values for Celcius readings?

You may have answered your own dilemma.

Snow is a pretty durn good insulator. If the bike was covered in snow, very good chance it could be warmer than ambient air temps. And, since snow itself is pretty much at or just slightly below 0c - well, there ya go.

How about the high end?

I think I saw 115F on my 2000 LT while crossing northwest Texas a few years ago. Hottest temp I'd ridden in 33 years.

124F, near Neddles, AZ. For about 3 hours we almost melt on the seats

Actually it will DISPLAY much lower than that. I posted on a problem with my display showing "PPP" some time ago and the dealer replaced it under warranty. The Manager came out after the new unit was in and told me he had some 'good news' and some 'bad news'. The good news was that the new unit was in and working - the bad news was that it was displaying -110 on a 70 degree day.
From a previous post on this site I remembered that someone said that the temp sensor took a little while to correct itself. I told the manager what I had heard and to just wait and it should re-adjust which it did within few minutes into the service check ride.

Idaho Falls, early February, 2005. The display showed 10F.
(and I had several hundred miles to cover that day to get to Salt Lake City).

But judging from the photo, you were probably smarter that morning for having slept at a Holiday Inn Express, just like in the TV commercials.
