mystery button

can someone tell me what the round button is for just to the left of the starter button and should the hazard button light be on all the time when the ignition is on.

If memory serves, you have a 2000 KLT. (Helps to include it in the question for reference.) That second button should cycle the computer display, if I remember right. (Labeled "BC" in the e-bay photos I found.) Computer display on early models was a rectangular panel on left of dash showing mileage, air temp, avg speed, etc.

Hazard light (flashers) button on? Seems like it, but I'm not in the garage. One of the things you get used to, I suppose. I'll check later...

The hazard light button is always illuminated so you can find it in the dark.

2000 BMW K1200LT.Thanks for all the info.One more thing can you tell me what the red lever on the start button is for?

Kill switch, center is run , left or right is kill.
