Phone or GPS Mount?

Okay guys, I have had my LT for quite some time now. I see a lot of riders mounting GPS or phones on the bars. Does anyone know where I can get a phone or gps mount for 4 bolt plate above the Radio buttons?

I have the cradle that I bought with my Nav V. I am not sure if there are aftermarket units that will fit that bolt pattern.

Re: Phone or GPS Mount?

Make one. It only needs a small plate and four spacers. Then you can either fasten something to it, or use a magnetic mount. That's what I did until I needed the mount for a tranceiver, then I moved the magnetic mount to the dashboard. Safety tether to the windscreen, not that it has ever moved at all. It is also in better line of sight and easy to feed power to it via the slots for the windscreen mechanism.

Re: Phone or GPS Mount?

I use this RAM system on my KLR dash. Works flawless and mounts firmly with same bolt pattern as the mounting location pictured in original post.

Re: Phone or GPS Mount?

I remembered I had an otterbox belt clip removed the clip, drilled holes and got some longer machine screws from HD. It works! Think I will get some blue locktite on the screws later today.

Re: Phone or GPS Mount?

I have the Nav V 2 that came with my bike when I bought it. The guy put a shelf across the top of the instrument cover trim. I thought it obstructed my view so I removed it. It worked okay, I did not think it to user friendly, Is it worth anything?

Re: Phone or GPS Mount?

I just put a ram ball where the nav cradle used to be.
