ABS

Hey all;

After about 1 year of my LT sitting, replaced the clutch, installed rebuilt alternator, rebuilt FD, a problem showed up. BTW the bike runs great mechanically. 95 mph runs smooth as glass
The ABS light came on blinking fast. lost the ABS pump. All brake fluid at high level. The rear wheel sensor is bad, have new one coming in.had that problem before, I dont believe that would affect the pump not running. Turned the bike off, let it sit for a while, restart and the all the systems work fine except for the previously mentioned rear sensor. Ride for awhile and light starts going crazy and I lose the ABS, Brakes still work just normal, no pump.
What causes the pump to stop running? I hear low battery may do that, which is possible, my PC680 is pretty old, still showing 12.7 v.
Will bleeding the system help, maybe caught an air bubble/water, sat for awhile? Not sure if that would cause the system to fail.
Will try a new battery first, simple things first.
Ideas? You guys are the best. I've lived with the bike for 330k miles but always willing to learn.

Re: ABS

Hi Zeke , My bike started doing the same thing when I took it off the trailer at our winter home in Zephyrhills the end of October this year . It work great sence new (2002 ), I change the brake fluid both control & wheel every year. I get it off the trailer this year & the pump works , then it don't .. It stops OK when the pump doesn't come on but it takes a good pull on the handle.

If you find out anything please post what you found
