Talking It's Official... I like 'em!

Greetings all & Happy New Year!

Just got back from a 300+ mile lap around the southwest part of the San Joaquin Valley. Bone chilling 28 F this morning heading out, 40F on the way home. (God bless heated hand grips and Mr Gerbings!... but I digress) This was my first extended ride after installing Suburban Machinery's Driver Footpeg lowering blocks. Huge difference for me (5' 11" w/31" inseam. Seat on HIGH position.) None of the discomfort I used to have with the stock setup. I don't ride aggressively to begin with, so no opprotunities to scrape pegs, etc. My first mod is successful! Thanks for all of you who have posted your experience on this forum.

Bruce

Bruce,
Glad to hear of your experience. I've installed the lowering kit but haven't had the opportunity for a longer ride due to work/weather. Did you notice any re-learning with the change in position relative to apply the rear brake?

Come to think of it, I did and am getting used to the new position of my feet. LOTS more leverage on the rear brake for me. Little bit different feel of the bike... then again, it's been a couple of weeks since I've done much riding (work, weather, family, etc.) Most importantly for me, my legs feel pretty good after a ride like yesterday.
