Need Brake Fuid Change Video for 03 with ABS

Hello everyone... been quiet for 10 years but I do come by every now and then.

I want to purge all of the old brake fluid out of both brake circuits on my 03 LT but I cant find an instruction video for my exact bike.

I think my brakes are integrated ABS, but some of the videos indicate this did not start until 04. My bike has the high pitched pump motors that come on when you engage the foot or hand brake. That's an indication that you have integrated ABS.... right?

I have looked around and have not seen a video for a system exactly like mine. I found a good one for the 04, but the system is a bit different.

Does anyone know of a video for the 03?

Thanks
Dean

I just replaced my brake lines on my 03. I followed this one and it walked me right through it.

Thank you! That is the video I watched. It has been a long time since I had the plastic off. Maybe I just don't remember what my bike looks like. I thought there was a reservoir on the right side in that video and I didn't remember having a reservoir on the right side... maybe I just don't remember it.

There are 4 reservoirs on my iABS equipped 2007. Two control circuit reservoirs (right handlebar) and right side below the seat for the rear control circuit. Both wheel circuit reservoirs are integral with the ABS module. One is high than the other, but I forget which is front wheel circuit and which is rear. There used to be a good PDF on this in the technical files area, but not sure anymore.

I don't recall if Kirk's video covers this, but to get a really thorough flush, you need to remove the brake pads from all three calipers, clean the pistons thoroughly with soapy water (NOT brake cleaner), fully compress the pistons and then insert tight fitting wood blocks in each caliper. This will minimize the stagnant volume of old fluid and ensure the best replacement of fluid. I think I have the PDF on my computer and will email it to you if you can't find it here. Just PM your email address to me.

That video covers your 03 just fine. 2001 to 2004 were all the same.
