2005 LT Skid Bolt Size

I just lost two of the skid plate bolts while doing an oil change. I figured someone on here might know what size bolt it takes so I can go down to my hardware store and try to get one. The BMW dealer ( whom I am sure will be glad to sell me one) is about 70 miles away.

Re: 2005 LT Skid Bolt Size

OK there are several different fasteners on that plate. M 6 x 16 allen at the front of the thin plate. M 6 x 8 lock nut at the rear of the thin plate. M 6 x 22 on either side of the rubber bushing links front of the tubular frame. Finally M 10 x 45 at the rear of the tubular frame where it bolts to the stand plate.

If you just took the thin plate off you need the M 6 x 16 bolts.
