DWA 5 Alarm replacment help

Hello all, I am a new owner of a used 2005 K1200LT. Great bike, unfortunately, the DWA Unit (65757678934) seems to have gone up. I have already bought a new unit, however before I open the box (and make it impossible to return) I was wondering if any of you have replaced this unit before? how does one reprogram the fob (is there a hew 'white card' inside the box) are there any gotchas I should be aware of? my thanks in advance for the assistance.

It is pretty straight forward. I have not done it but a friend of mine did replace his unit and had no issues. Go for it.

Any chance you could possibly hit up your friend and ask if there are codes in the box, or are they seed codes I have to go through a dealer? Alabama is kinda far, but I could try to ship you some gourmet Mac and Cheese as a thank you
