Question

What year is your bike??? It doesn't sound right unless it is a 2005 and the slave cylinder failed, which should be covered under warranty.

A clutch should last more than 100,000 Km.

My 2000's replacement clutch at 36,000 miles (fluid contamination) had 101,000 miles on it when I sold it. And I rode that bike pretty hard.

Last weekend I ran into a guy that was going to a BMW "tech" party where they were going to drill "weep" holes in the bottom of the transmission case so that if the clutch slave leaked it would run out the hole instead of getting on the clutch plates. Anyone heard of this?

If he uses the same user name on both sites, then he's passing along information from this site. Only been registered here since July, if it is the same Ron.
