Will an OEM CD radio directly replace my cassette (2000) radio?

My present radio cassette has a dead rear left channel.
I've seen a few used & tested LT OEM radio CD units on eBay.
Would one of these directly replace my original radio?

Hey, man...have I got a deal for you. I've got the OEM 6(??) cd changer that I've removed from my 03 LT. I put the question marks in there because I really don't know just how many it holds.
It worked last time I had it in the bike...can't speak to it's present functionality.
Bottom line: I don't want it, ain't gonna use it, it's just gathering dust.
Send me a prepaid shipper with an address on it and I'll send it to you. Gratis. Free. No charge. It's a gimme. Nothing ventured, everything gained (well, maybe the shipper).

Hola, you still have that cd changer gathering dust? Mine (2000 LT) has crapped out so maybe I could use two and build one that works. Lemme know - I'd send the shipper.

LarryJa cannot use the external CD player even if he swaps out the cassette for a later CD version (which will work) because his bike will not have the harness for the CD changer.
