Re: I Need a Hitch

I've got one, Bryan. Can't say I know what they are worth or what it would cost to get it to you. I'm in Ohio.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Bryan, I have a Dauntless hitch and wiring relay for an LT. It was $495 new a few years back. Make me an offer if you are interested, and the hitch mentioned above doesn't work out. I'm in GA.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Bryan, the harness is $70 more from DMC and hooks up to the bikes lighting and power systems for the trailer plug. It isolates it from the bike for protection. You can probably get more info at the DMC sidecar website.

Thank you Sammy, with my budget I don’t think I can afford your hitch. I’m trying to stay around $150 or so.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Sure thing Bryan. I had mine changed to a 1.25 inch receiver. This has worked very well for me. I'm attaching some pics.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Hey Bryan,

Sorry I ducked out on you there. Here are some pics of the one I have. It mounts to the side of the bike and has the back panel with crossbucks. There is a harness and electrical plug receiver. It came on the bike, so I don't have a manual, but wrote down the color codes of the wiring it was connected to. It came on a 2003. I would be looking for $200 for it plus whatever UPS wants.

Re: I Need a Hitch

That looks like a Bushtec hitch and their web site has instructions. It is a plus since it puts all the pulling load on the main frame of the bike instead of the rear tubular sub frame.

Anyone have an opinion on this hitch? Looks to me that it attaches to the saddle bags braces only. Maybe I’m missing something.

Re: I Need a Hitch

If you still have your hitch for sale and the other gentleman is not interested in it, I would like to buy it.

Thanks, Dave

Dave, good evening. Which hitch are you interested in? Only asking since there are a couple mentioned in the thread...

Re: I Need a Hitch

What are you pulling? I've had a UNi-Go hitch, easily adapted to a ball, for sale in the classifieds for $125 for quite some time.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Hello,

The hitch from mickamg that is in Ohio. It was within driving distance to pick up. Not sure if Pstrman has purchased it or the one you have for sale. Got a used Aspen classic last fall and looking forward to pulling it with the K1200lt this year.

Thanks, Dave

Basically, it's just an L-bracket that bolts up to the receiver plate. Here is my ad:

My guess is that the 125 doesn’t include shipping. And all the mounting hardware is included? If we can come to a total I’ll take it. Thanks

Re: I Need a Hitch

Iím not sure if you have solved your search for a hitch or not. I just took a Uni-Go hitch off my LT. I am willing to sell that. As far as the wiring harness goes, Iím debating if I am going to remove it or not. If your not to far away from Michigan we can work something out.

Re: I Need a Hitch

Also, in case anyone is interested, I have a Dauntless DMC hitch and wiring harness/relay for an LT. It was $495 new, and I'm looking for $250 plus shipping. It uses a 1.25 inch receiver setup. If interested, please PM me.
