Brown wire woes

Just got a 2002 KLT, build date is May 01. Bike was running great but as it is starting to get warmer, I performed the brown wire fix / cut. Bike will hardly run and will shut off at idle. No worries, I spliced the brown wire back together. But, nothing changed.... still hardly runs. Lifted ground wire on battery overnight to reset. No good and Iím out of ideaís. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Search TPS reset

Ignition on, not running
Open and close throttle 3 times
Ignition off.

I think

That is open throttle to wide open stop and release 3 times just to be clear.

Re: Brown wire woes

Rolliff, did you ever get your bike running? I have looked for my brown wire and cannot see a stray loop of brown wire. Everything on my 05 is in the wiring runs. Where did you find the loop? Any photos?

Thanks!
