Different color side cases?

I bought an ebay special left sidecase cover that I was going to have painted to replace my dinged cover. Body shop suggested painting both sides to be sure the color matched 100% each side. I'm thinking maybe painting black to contrast instead of the basalt grey. Has anyone ever seen a LT with contrasting lids?

BTW...Merry Christmas..

The only LT that I've seen with mis-matched lids also had mis-matched EVERYTHING! The guy called it is LT Rat Bike. (Sorry, can't remember the member's name. )

As integrated as the saddlebags are on the LT, I'm not sure if that would look too good. But that's a subjective thang, you know...

For the effort and looks - I'd paint all the plastics to match.

I'd also do some pin-strpes, maybe some air-brush effects. Make it your own.

But even just painting both side cases - there's no way to get a perfect color match and they'll contrast (clash?) to a degree with the rest of the bike.

Good points guys. I think I'll stick with the stock paint scheme.

Happy Holidays..
