What Are You Getting For Christmas???

Most of us love the LT...and I was just wondering how much our LT's affect our decisions concerning this time of year. (i.e. - as in GIFTS???)

I am getting a CHATTERBOX intercom/radio system for Christmas (if you know bad things -- keep it to yourself, please don't ruin my Christmas before it comes!)

But...as LT'ers, what are you getting for Christmas???

I also received one of the coolest presents ever -- an XM radio for my bike...just wearin' it out!!!!!

SO...what are you getting/wanting?????

Let's see under the wanting catagory: Garmin GPSMap 276C or 2720. I don't need XM capability as I prefer Sirius.

Under the getting catagory: Upgraded throttle cables to replace the ones that are giving me a Popeye forearm.

Besides SWMBO told me I was only worth $300 for Christmas.

Probably Dewalt XRP 18v extended batteries. I kind of mentioned it a while back. Me thinks the wife took mental note.

Well, I got an oil change kit yesterday. Does that count?

Seriously, y wife and I don't give each other stuff for Christmas anymore. We figured the Lord blesses us every day. We don't need anything special on His day.

Like Hawg, our Christmas present arrived early this year. We'd put a red bow around her and put her under the Xmas tree Monday morning, butt she's in that *let's see if your house is insured against TOTAL pet destruction?* mode!

Merry Christmas all y'all.

Got the Valentine One for the GT.

OK...OK...sorry. This IS in the LT forum afterall. But us GT riders are already so lonely, what with always be so far ahead of the pack and all. I just thought I'd hang with y'all for awhile.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! (...and Happy Holidays to you other guys.)

I'm a romantic

(Long-time listener...First-time caller...er, replyer)

Being a romantic at heart, I have given my lovely wife of 35 years a new KonTour seat for Christmas, and she will love it, just as soon as it gets here. Ron has been fantastic about it! My BakUp is already waiting on the LT. The road is calling us.
Merry Christmas to all.

I understand fully...

NOW, as a pastor AND counselor let me give you some godly advice: You go right out and buy her something special and totally unexpected to show her how much you love her as a godly wife. And by the way...the oil change kit may do something for YOU...but not her! Just jokin'! Merry Christmas Bro!

I got the LT, Pro-AVI intercom, Bakup, Alaska Leather sheepskin seat pad, TourTech GPS mount, Cee Bailey windshield . . . wait, that's the stuff I bought for me.

Other than "permission" (after the fact) to get the above, and letting me continue to live in my own house after doing so, my wife is pretty secretive about what she got me. I imagine she managed to find some "safety chrome" items for the Harley that I don't already have (a tall task, indeed), a "farkle" or two that she came across for the LT, and who knows what else.

I'm the kind of guy who usually goes out and buys himself what he wants rather than waiting for someone to give it to me. She says that it makes it very hard to shop for me. Maybe so, but she never ceases to amaze me with some of the great ideas she comes up with.

I am grateful for my wife and three great kids, for our home, for our treasured friends and family, for this great country that we live in, for the opportunity to serve, and for His Grace. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Yeah, Steve. We're back to 4 of 'em, and Clem there is a recent replacement for #1 (trucker) who passed away coupla months ago at 11.5 years of age. Broke Cheryl's heart, butt Clem has done wonders for easing the pain - I think she (Clementine!!! I didn't getta vote!!! ) and Trucker are/were cut from the same mold!

So, anyway - we call 'em the Paw Print Gang, Tony. Funny, friendly, family pets, and sorta butt ugly!!! When we first started 'collecting' them, I fought Cheryl tooth and nail. You won't find any of 'em taking a podium at the Westminister Dog Show, butt I'm sure glad I lost the argument.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack; 'tis what Santa brought us tho!!

I was seriously thinking about a new LT if mine did not stop leaking, but seen that that is not the case any more, I hope for a set of lowered foot pegs, maybe the SO wil read this and run out and grab a pair up. hahahaha

Actually very gratefull for the people I have met here and become friends with, is enough of a Christmas gift for me. Merry Christmas Jack and Averill.

Got mine today. New set of Wilbers from BMW of Atlanta.

Story does not end there. I took it in 3 weeks ago for the 18K service and requested a good looking over as my warranty was to expire on the 22nd of Dec.

They found two seals leaking, transmission and main. They had just started leaking and I had not noticed it yet. Was told the warranty work would have cost me nearly 2K if I they had not found it and got it done by the 22nd. Completed on the 20th!

Since the bike had to be nearly stripped in the back anyway, I ended up with the 18K service and labor to install the shocks virtually free.

Now I did have to pay for the shocks but considering what they saved me by finding the seal problems and getting my 18K and shocks installed almost for free, I found this to be a great Christmas gift!!

Kudos, to the guys at BMW of Atlanta. Great folks and a great dealership.

PIAA's, MotoLights, helmets and riding gear for my 4 grandchildren (9,11,11,15) who can't wait to get aboard but not allowed to do so without proper gear, and a loving wife who likes to ride with me. I am truly blessed. Merry Christmas.

Dayle and I are spending the holidays in upstate NY with her family. Rather than lugging everything out there, we decided to open one thing each night all this week. Tonight I unwrapped a shirt that says "Still plays with motorcycles."

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Christmas '06

Let's see - completing my wish list was a set of J-peg X's, a Cee Bailey 'shield, and a new set of Metz' for the upcoming riding season. The problem is, it's either outriggers, or wait until Spring to ride...

Wink What did Santa Bring?

My wife got tired of me complaining about driving a hundred miles and paying $225 for a tire installed. She bought me the Harbor Freight tire changer and the Marc Parnes Balancer. I'm going to order the Mojo Lever when they become available again in late January. One of my LT buddies picked up a shard in his rear tire and so we'll be practicing for the first time this week. Can't wait to save the bucks and do my own changes! Great Fun! Merry Christmas! Ron & Jodie Ray

Still wanting GPS/Sat Radio

KEWL !!! Sammies been bugin me to find out the new ones name. Now she have to find something else to bug me about
