Angry new D.A. member, "bad day" all together

Rushed back home this morning to take my eldest daughter to school due to no school bus showing up, on the way there got a stone thrown up into my windshield, which cracked all the way up by the time I got to work, $1300 to get replaced at the dealer in atlanta. went home at lunch, figured I'd take the LT back to work, got on the bike, battery was dead, I'd left the fog lights on. Jumped it off with the car, backing the bike out of the garage, I leaned over and down she went, tried to pick the bike up, not happening. I ended up calling a friend who started laughing hysterically but came to my rescue, got the bike picked up, no damage thank goodness, just my ego. Hope I never have another any time soon.

Mike,

Man, I couldn't believe it when I read the post. Butt....as I understand, it happens to all sooner or later. Anyway, I'm glad you got it up Surely you have comprehensive on your car...right??? Probably a high deduct, but man...$1,300 is high. I won't even go there.

Here's my solution...let's build two of the turntables for our garage so we'll never have to back them out again. There's a picture of what I'm talking about in post #68 by Blubyu Heres the link:

I suppose seen that the car is not locally manufactured, all parts need to be specially ordered, and put on by the dealer or else the warranty is toast. I dont know how true that is but not going to chance it. Never had one of these before, probably never have another so I better play by their rules for the time being.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Not that hard to do these days. My wife's 740iL had a stone break a few months ago, about $1000 to replace it. Large nationwide glass replacement chain, but they had to get the replacement from a BMW dealer. It has infrared comfort coating on the inside, rain sensor module on top, and heated section where the wipers rest when stopped. Glass alone was nearly $800!

I believe comprehensive coverage in Florida is mandated to cover windshield replacement 100%.

You are correct, no deductible or negative experience rating either!
IMO, Everyone should ask their insurance carrier & check their state law.
