stingray needed for starting?

H All,

searched but could not quite find an answer to this - can the bike be safely started with the stingray off and can the alarm/immobilizer be deactivated without it?

Also, when disconnecting the battery are there special steps needed wrt the alarm system? The manual does not mention any of this.

2008 LT

TIA,
picard

Re: stingray needed for starting?

excluding the alarm I dont have one , yes the bike will start ok, if the battery has been disconnected you might have to reset the alarm there is a procedure in the file section under Tools_Technical on the top menu.
