OHLINS Shock owners

Bike: 2005 K1200 LT
Shock: rear BM 539

I have a question for owners of this shock.

How many times can you turn the knob on the pre-load adjuster from minimum to maximum ?

For instance I can turn mine 26 times, but it only starts getting hard at around 12 turns from minimum.

Re: OHLINS Shock owners

Not sure about the Ohlins but on the OEM, that is a sign the adjuster is low on oil. On the OEM it is easy to fix but would not venture a guess if doing the same on the Ohlin is recommended or if that is even normal for that shock.
