Re: Oil level glass site

Next time you change the oil filter, if you can reach up inside or someone with small hands, you might be able to clean the inside of the glass. If it is beyond that, it can be replaced.

Re: Oil level glass site

Make sure it is not full. Do this the next time you ride the bike, place it on the center stand with the engine still running and look at the site glass. It should look different than when the engine is off. Then shut off the engine and watch the oil level rise. During warm engine running the oil level will always be below the site glass.

Next filter change, take a long spray tube on a can of brake cleaner and wash the back side of the lens through the little holes. If no joy, replace the glass.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Re: Oil level glass site

i had that to happen to me as well. I had too much oil in her when I first change the oil after acquiring the bike. I let some out and I saw my oil level. You definitely don't want too much oil in her. The excess oil gets pushed out in unwanted places.
