Question Can't get touch up paint in Ca.

I have a dime size paint chip on my front fender.
It seems that the California EPA will not allow BMW touch up paints into the state.
This is what I need: 51 912 347 355- Basalt Grey 740/410.
Can any one who lives in a state other than Ca. and can get one of these kits? Please PM me and we can work out the details.
I may have to ride to AZ. to get the kit ,(arm twist, but it's ok).
Thanks in advance,
Don

I am having the same problem, new painted front fender is over three hundred bucks. Dealer told me to go to a body shop and have them repaint the fender, bunch of crap!

Pete,
Thanks. I looked at the site and it would work if my bike was red or champagne.
Mine is neither.

I think the dealer is doing right by you. A body shop should be able to paint the front fender for $50 or so. It'll look good (a lot better than you could do with touch up), color will match and it'll be under $300.00. If my dealer gave me advice like that, I'd thank him.

That is true. The response from BMW when my dealer tried to order touch up paint for me was the current labeling doesn't meet the standards required for sales to consumers. Seems like an easy fix, oh well.

Call Color Right. I got touch up paint for a bike that wasn't listed on the web site.

I'm flying in to L.A. this Sunday for a week. if you live near there and can get the paint you need from either BMW of North Dallas or BMW of Ft. Worth, I'll pick it up for you and bring it with me, we can meet when I am in town.

as long as it's not pressurized, it won't constitute a violation of FAA transport.

Pete,
Thanks, but I would rather ride to AZ than go to LA. It's about the same distance for me.
