Duplicate Post Please Ignore

Picked up a 2000 LT that has been seriously neglected.

I'm putting a master repair list together to work through.

I want to get to everything while it's open. I have to replace the clutch so I'm already in it.

What am I missing? I don't want to put it all back together and then realize I forgot to replace something.

Besides the clutch and can ectomy.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Master Repair List

My opinion, Id change all fluids. antifreeze, brake fluid, etc.....

I bought an 05 that was in great shape, but I have no service records of anything. I looked at my brake fluid and its dark, obviously needs changed. Since I found that, Ive decided to change out all fluids in the bike.

Re: Master Repair List

I would also replace the rubber fittings on the throttle bodies (head side). And the fuel injector o-rings. And the crank case breather tube. And the fuel line quick connections if they are plastic

Re: Master Repair List

And if she doesn't have the throttle cable update then do that too, real nice retrofit for the older LTs

That is OK

I think because you are the OP, you are able to delete the entire thread but you now have information on both so stick with one of them if you can. If you go to your profile page by clicking on your own name, you can find in the statistics all your posts and all the threads you started. Good luck in learning to navigate. It isn't too bad after a few times round the block.

Don't forget to drill the slave cylinder weep hole and rebuild the slave while in there.

To my knowledge, there is still no rebuild kit for the 20mm LT slave but there does seem to be an after market replacement ( not Maugra ) available now on beamer boneyard. Worth replacing while you are in there.

New European Aftermarket 20mm Hydraulic Clutch Slave Cylinder For K1200RS (All), K1200LT (All) & K1200GT (Up To 2006)

Hallzee will take care of drilling the slave...

Forgot to have you pick up four throttle body clamps from bentonville. They attach the air intake to the TB.

You'll need to remove the OEM and may not be able to re-use.

Just shipped off a big box of goodies. Few of which I want back, the remainder are gimmes.

Your in good hands I thought him well.

PS print out the two PDF's for reference...

Re: Master Repair List

PDF's printed and I've added throttle body clamps plus silicon radiator hoses

I have all the local add ons already plus some super expensive paste on the way.

That pipe / seal puller in picture #6 is genius : )
