Farkles for new LT Riders

I just did my first 300 miles on my new custom seat, WOW what a difference. Thought should be given by new LT riders to what farkle to purchase first. My first item was 1. Tall windshield 2.Intercom 3.CB 4. Driving lights 5. Tank Bag 6. Air Hawk seat pad 7.GPS and the last 8. a custom seat. IMO the custom seat should have been the first purchase, 14,000 miles of suffering why do I do this to myself ?

Anyone else have an opinion on what to purchase first, beside the obvious safe riding gear?

H.I.D headlight conversion,
In my opinion the best improvement you can make on the LT for about $110.

A good late model LT that someone else ate the cost of adding all those options. Mine has great options, had 8K miles on it when I got it and I saved approx 8 grand between bike depr and the farkles already there.

go here
http://cqlight.ca/index.php?cPath=32_45
the 5000 gives you the maximum amount of usable light,
but don't just take my word for it,
do a search for HID and see what others say,
it will probably be something like
wow or amazing, awesome etc,
I think you get my point

I bought a Rick Mayer seat 6' 6" 250# 36 inseam, this seat is much wider and much firmer than the factory seat. Works Great

I think my farkles in order of usefulness would be:
1. Suburban Machinery Peg Relo Kit.
2. Bill Mayers custon seat.
3. Kisan flashing breaklights.
4. J-Pegs.
5. PIIA Lights.
6. Cee Bailey +4 Windshield.
7. Seat Sheepskin.
8. Ohlins Shocks.
9. RhineWest Chip.
10. Remus Exhaust Can.
11. Helmut speakers.

Farklization makes a stock bike work for you. If you are just doing enough riding to make it to the local show and shine every few weeks, then what you do to your bike other than paint or chrome probably doesn't make much difference.... but if you like to ride your arse off like most of us at this site are prone to do, the farkles really add to the experience.
