Parting our my 2003 K1200LT

I am parting out my K1200LT after a minor accident that totaled the bike. Take a look at this link https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0i5Uzl7Vvcp6x Parting out my 2003 BMW K1200LT[/url] to see if there is something that you need.

here is a link to photos of all the available parts https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0i5Uzl7Vvcp6x

I will take $500 for the entire lot so I can clear out my garage. Will to meet some on within 100 miles of Greenwich CT

I can be reached at [email protected] or text at 212.844.9299

Before you buy a used Final-Drive (FD), be aware that almost all USA specs beginning late 2001 (until 2009) have a different FD than 1999-2001. When IABS with servos was introduced, they removed the speed-sensor on top of FD that you see on 1999-2001.

He is selling a 2003 (no hole for speed sensor in FD) so check if your 2001 has this sensor with wire on top of final drive. K1200LT sold in Europe and Canada had the change-over for all 2001 and later, BUT USA specs K1200LT have the new FD mainly on 2002-2009 (although there seems to be a few exceptions).

Like sailor said, generally the 02 FD will not work unless you are going to send it to Dave ( Saddleman) as he made a jig to drill out the hole for the sensor. I would check with him ahead of time before you buy one though if that is where you were going to send it to be rebuilt so you know if he would do that for you in the rebuild process. Then an 02 or newer would be able to be used with that modification, otherwise you are like me and need one with the sensor hole.
