Re: 2003 LT Tires
I ran 020 Radial front/rear. Pretty nice combo. Handling was better than 880- faster. Also, when 880 cupped, front end had a mild shaky to it.
Wife & I on Deals Gap one day, some years ago, and came up on a car wreck. We rushed to bottom to get help. When we stopped at the Deals Gap gas station, I smelled burning rubber....it was my LT 020 Radial. It had swollen so much as to rub on the swing arm and there was rubber all over rear of bike.
When we got home, I called Bridgestone and they said not to run radial on that series bikes. My rear is now non-radial.
I will likely either go back to 020 if the continue to make them or maybe the 888.... I like that 888 last longer, since I change my tires... Front is easy, but the rear is interesting..
The Avon front is fun in mountains, but in town, I'd like a little slower turn in.
