Economic alternative to Hyperlites

For sometime now, I wanted to buy a set of Hyperlite for my K1200LTc. You can call me cheap but I really didn't want to spend over $75 for a set of blinking LED + $10 for a bracket...So I recently ran a quick research and bought the the following parts instead:

1. eBay Tail light LED $13.80
2. Ebay LED strobe module $4.99
3. Hyperlite license plate bracket $10.50

Total $29.29

All worked well and the LED seem to be very bright. The installation was easy, I connected the two LED bars in parallel and only ran two wires to the connector that goes to the trunk for the additional (top) brake light (brown and gray/yellow wire). The strobe module fit nicely next to the connector with some 3M tape.

Here is a brief video and some pictures, enjoy it!

Looks like you did a nice job and saved some cash by being innovative. Good job.

Re: Economic alternative to Hyperlites

Just ordered some controllers to play with along with some LED strip tail/brake/turn LEDs.

Thanks for the tip, Robert.
