A Vague Feeling

As I backed out of my garage tonight, I noticed something was different. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Just sorta a vague feeling.

When I hit the paved road, it occurred to me that it was cold--my Joe Rocket Phoenix might not be suitable.

I raised the windshield, which helped, and began wondering if I should get my rain liner out of the side case, and remember to switch to my winter Joe Rocket.

Suddenly I remembered!

Dam!

I've got a HEATED seat and HEATED grips!!

32 deg F when I left for work this morning. It warmed up to 38 on the highway for a bit, then when I hit this one notoriously cold valley, it dropped to 31.

We're in a motel room in Springdale Arkansas,
it's about 50 degrees out there,
it started raining about a half hour after we left the last motel yesterday,
then we rode in rain for about 4-6 hours.
Gonna get a new back tire tommorrow and
decided that we'd rather spend the day in a motel room than repeat yesterday.
I dearly love my wife but if we've got to spend more than 36 hours in a motel room together
only one of us will leave here and that one will most likely be led out in handcuffs.

It actually dropped below 70 here in San Diego this weekend. It is 64 this morning. Getting very close to SoCal freezing!

Does anyone know where you can buy aftermarket pontoons for an LT? The temp isn't the problem today, it's the foot of rain we've gotten in the last five hours.

I rode in that 64 at 5AM this morning. Getting a little bit of a chill with my mesh on. Had the Darien on for the rain on Friday. Still too hot with the sun out and being stuck in traffic. I gotta learn to split! Wish they vented a little better.

Bought used K1200LT number 3. This one is green/teal with 31,369(now 7/29/2018 54,143) miles and is an '02. The first 2 bikes made it to near 150,000 miles.

Due to heart health, the Dr says not to ride under 40 degree air temp. Ugh! Now it is harder to get my 18000 miles a year in just in the summer. Guess that stopped my 20 degree rides now.
