Lt wobbles but it won't fall down

Had an interesting experience today while going 70 mph on super slab. Rt 680 in San Ramon California has four lanes with only 2 of them at the same height. When you change lanes the bike certainly lets you know the difference in lane height. Today the bike really felt unstable with a good deal of front end wobble when doing a lane change. When I finally get home from my ride I went to put the bike on the center stand and it was a real effort to do so. Look at both tires and they seem okay. Check air pressure front tire 42psi. Check rear tire no reading on gauge and tire is really hot and sticky. Put air pump on rear tire and when it gets to 10psi I hear air leaking. Check for nails and find none, but discovered air leaking from valve area. Check valve spring and its tight so air is coming out at the valve seat. Took tire off and had new valve installed and all is well.
Never had a near flat tire when riding before. I could have sworn the wobble problem was in the front end and not the rear, but have now learned the rear tire can really cause a major effect on the front end handling. Am running ME880s front and rear. I'll say this for the 880s, because they are such a stiff tire they really held up good with under 10 lbs of pressure

Those cheap [email protected]#$ valves should never be on a motorcycle. Change them for better quality units at the first opportunity.

You may want to consider replacing the tire as you may have done serious (non-visible) damage to it by running it that low and hot. Just a thought - would hate see you create a "delamination" post later on.

I would say that if the tire got hot enough to be "sticky" then it is very likely damaged. I would expect the tire to delaminate relatively soon. Play it safe and replace that tire.
