Can I Move It

I've got the instrument panel out, '05 model, but I need to move the bike and put it back on the electric centerstand. Will anything strange happen? Like explode the computer or something. Plugging the instruments in is not an option.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick,

I don't think it will hurt anything, but it may not work with that disconnected. I know it does a self test on power up and not completing that could knock out all functions. Including starting. Too bad they didn't leave us the "foot" power option on the center stand.
You gonna come by some time for the flush? I'll be doing a 24 K here after the Ironhorse weekend in October.

I plan to get by there for the flush when I get it put back together. Someone backed into it in a parking space and punted it it into the car next to it. I'll give you a call.

The bike had a hard time doing the self check since the instrument panel was broken in half, but it did start and drive a few blocks home.

Thanks,

Rick

Darn Rick sorry to hear about your misfortune. If you do call, please speak after the greeting message as we screen with CID and may not recognize your number. Hope you get it all back together OK. You going to make the last week end in Oct at the Ironhorse?

Hold the bike up and have somebody else use a floor jack and a piece of 2x4 under the front. Lift up bike and put down by hand. That's what I did when mine quit working till I could get it fixed.
