Exclamation Need connector

I am looking for the electric connector to hook up the passenger heated seat to the connector on the bike. The PO cut the connector off on the seat side. The wire is still there though. Dealer does not sell that part (not on their microfiche). Would anyone have a source, or an alternate solution? I e-mailed beemerboneyard but no luck there...! TIA!

Try www.cyclesrecycled.com - the guy parts out wrecked bikes, I think mostly tupperware but maybe he's got that piece laying around.

Cool

That connector design is specific to BMW - I've spent the better part of a day trying to source them - no joy. They are NOT Molex connectors. There's about a dozen similar designs but they are not correct and will not mate. Telephone "crimp" butt connectors (available at Rat Shack) and heat shrink tubing - the kind with glue on the inside - are about the best you can do.

OR:

You can always change both ends to a simple quick connect - but it won't be OEM.

Or, just cut the BMW side and use Molex for both sides. Cheap and easy.

Gents, thanks for the feedback!
John, a member of this forum, may get one from a totalled bike and that would be the easiest, otherwise I'll replace both ends with Molex parts as Grifster suggested.
So much for standards, huh!
