Sluggish LT

Got a problem I'm trying to sort, ride bike to work. Bike sits outside for 8 hours. Upon startup accelerate aprox 1/4 mile to stop sign,(usually somewhat spiritly). During this phase lately the bike has acted sluggish, to the point where it stalled today during de-acceleration. Open tank, (no whoosh, although I've heard slight whoosh in the past at some fillups.Doing canisterectomy tonight). Restart bike and runs like a top. It seems as though it's been a slow progression, getting worse today when it died. Doesn't do it all the time---03 with 45,000, all services current--does this ring a bell with anybody?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Also you might try resetting the motronic computer. Pull the fuse or unhook the ground at the battery for a few minutes. Reconnect turn key on "do not start". Turn throttle full open twice slowly. Turn key off then back on and start.

Sounds like a fuel filter issue to me also.
But before I would go through all of that work I think I'd put some fuel injector cleaner through the tank, it's worked for me in the past.
And by all means remove the canister.
