Intercom for a '05 LT

I purchased a '05 LT and it doesn't have an intercom. My old bike is a '02. Can I swap the '02 intercom onto the '05.
I read where the radios are not comparable to swap, but what about the intercom?

2002 K1200LT, Pacific Blue
1991 Bushtec, painted Yamaha Venture Blue

100,000+ trouble free miles.

1- If you don't count the replacement of a leaking rear main seal that caused the clutch assembly to be replaced at 74,000 miles.

2- The Trunck Latch is now broken on both sides at 86,000 miles.

3- The Banjo bolt behind the headlight that is part of the braking system and goes to the right front caliper has sprung a leak. this is dumping brake fluid on the caliper and front tire.

4- The switch that activates the fans when the temp rises went out at 98,835 miles.

Re: Intercom for a '05 LT

It may be possible if the old intercom connected to the radio the same way. But the one designed for the 05 and up was the VOICE II system.

Re: Intercom for a '05 LT

I had the same problem but my 2000 lt had communication but got tired of connecting to bike with wires so I purchased a SENA sm5. About five years ago the price was about 180.00 for the pair. Best thing I ever got. No wires to mess with and they pair with my mp3 music, iPhone and I can talk to wife whenever. Installs in each helmet in about 20 minutes with no problems. I love them. The Sena SM10 and the new 20's are also great but a little more pricey. My 5's work just great.
