bearing shell help

Hey All;

need help identifying the bearing shells needed for the connecting rods.
According to the manual if there are no marks then you have "0" grinding.
Thats great, look in the fiche and they have Green, Yellow, White with "0" grinding.
What do i go with?
The measurement still doesn't show you the color needed and I have NO markings anywhere.
Please help.

Re: bearing shell help

Hey All;

never mind, found it. but secret here. DONT CLEAN the rods. I cleaned the first with basic cleaner nothing strong and the little dot disappears.
Not my idea, Ernie A.. Thanks to him.
But its in the cutout of the rod, just above where the bearing shell goes.

Re: bearing shell help

Glad you caught it in time. Make notes as you go so if you forget or need to go inside the engine again you will be able to order the parts you need without finding that pesky paint dot.

Let me know if you need anything. I have plenty of spare parts too.

All the best,
