Talking power

Hey all;

A very merry Christmas to all.

Got a few new farkles for Christmas.
Where in the front fairing area, is the power accessible when key is ON?
Wire color/ that sort of thing.
Is the headlight the best for that?
The farkle just reads battery voltage, very very low power usage.

Thanks to all.

Re: power

The headlight doesn't come on until the bike is started.

The front parking lights (up in the headlight area) come on with the key.

You should be able to find those wires easily enough. I can't remember the color, but since Brown is Ground, just use the other one.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: power

When I used the parking light wire the voltage was a little less than at the battery.

That's odd, mine comes on when the key is in run, turns off while the starter is cranking, then comes back on when running. Is this what you meant, or is mine an anomaly?

I think Meese is losing it! (lol). I believe that all LT's, the headlight will come on with the key in the run position. My RT's (and probably GT's) headlight will not come on until the bike is started. I am wondering if this is a canbus related thing as the headlight in my MB does not come on until it is started.
