05 LT Brown headlight wire

Any recent victims of the dreaded headlight ground wire failing recently? I believe I may be a victim and was wondering if I needed to strip off the nose cone to fix the issue correctly. Have the left Tupperware off now and it doesn't appear I have enough room or access to the spade connectors for the fix I've seen here on the site. Just wondering if anyone managed to do this correctly without the rest of the bodywork coming off. Ride safe.

Once you get the cover off the back of the light there is a disconnect and you can remove the harness IIRC. The wires go into that connector I circled.

Re: 05 LT Brown headlight wire

Does this happen to the 2000 model also. Have recently lost my HID low beam. Put the standard H7 bulb back in and still had problems getting it to light up. I've ordered a new ceramic plug to replace the fried plastic one, I removed the plastic and plugged ea. connector into the bulb and it worked.

The ride is fresh under diamond skies, makes me glad to be alive.
