That boot is fixed to the swing arm and you grease the front end so it will slide on the transmission boss. Either that has liquefied or you have an output shaft seal weeping. For now I would just wipe it down and monitor as even a seal weep will not drain your transmission. Not something to panic about. You may also want to undo the metal clamp on the drive boot and pop it back to look up in the swing arm with a flash light for oil evidence.
