Group Buy - Lower Fairing Touch Up Paint

I am having my local body shop mix up some paint for the lower fairing on my 2006 K1200LT. The color is a beige magnesium and I think the same color on the handlebar covers, the covers around the console, and the upper trim on the saddlebags. I have some rock chips that need a touch up.

If you want to buy a bottle of touch-up paint, let me know.

I can have them make some extra and put it in touch up bottles. I am thinking about $25 total cost including shipping. Would use Paypal.

Thanks

Paul

I'm sure I could use it on a few spots and would be nice to have on hand. Put me down for one.

Thanks,
Jer

Re: Group Buy - Lower Fairing Touch Up Paint

Thanks Jer. Send me a PM and we can keep in touch as I get the details.

There have a been a lot of views but no other takers. Would it help if I could get the cost down? I'll see if I can get it down to $20 with shipping. No guarantees since I need to know how much to have them make up and their price. Bigger quantities usually mean lower prices.

Question Re: Group Buy - Lower Fairing Touch Up Paint

Do you know if it is the same for all years.

I ride a 2000 K 1200 LTC.

Re: Group Buy - Lower Fairing Touch Up Paint

The lower fairing color for my 2006 LT is a grayish silver called Magnesium, definitely not charcoal.

According to BMW, it is the same color for 2003-2009. It maybe the same color for earlier years but not sure. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I too would like some touch-up paint but you need something to compare to.

Thinking of repainting the stingray after I repair a few cracks and also the lower of my left fender. Maybe a pint?

Hmmmmm, doesn't show a color for the lower fairing on a '99LT. I have no idea if 99 - 02 would be the same as 03 - on.

Re: Group Buy - Lower Fairing Touch Up Paint

Hi All

Turns out you can buy the lower fairing paint from Colorrite so I will not be doing the group buy.

The paint code is 957 Magnesium Metallic.

BMW 957 Magnesium Metallic

Good luck
