I've got a question about replacing the grips on my 2005 lt. Is their a more comfortable grip available that will fit the Lt that someone is aware of or should I just replace with OEM ?

Sold on Amazon. These just slide over existing grips, no need to take old ones off. You can still feel grip heaters. Just wet inside of cover and work them over the old ones.

Also increases diameter a little. Love them.

I tried Grip Puppies some years ago. Didn't like them. Too fat.
OEM replacement is kind of expensive.
Kuryakyn grips don't appeal to me.

I've been wrapping the original grips on my 2000 with Wilson tennis grip tape.
I like it. Works well, looks good. I think I've done it twice since I got the bike in 2000.

I have the Kuryakyn Iso grips in black. Fatter than stock if you like that. Comfy, durable and nice looking. They have a new style called Kinetic that looks pretty sharp. I would like to try those myself, but I can't get the Isos off!

Your grips "dissintagrated", you must really grip them to do that!

I just got a pair of the Grab On grip covers like CBPIP described this weekend. The BMW OEM grips seemed firmer than I like and I think these will do the trick. Previously I have used Show Chrome grips and liked them much better than the Kuryakyn puffy grips.

Got what I think is Grip Puppies on my '05 LT. Bought the bike from zippy_gg. He installed them when he had the bike. You could PM him if you need to know, though I think you probably are getting enough intel from other members.
Larger than oem diameter/doesn't inhibit heat function/comfortable/no complaints.
