Rear drive going?

Last year I noticed a very small amount of oil residue around the crown gear seal on my 2006 LT. When I changed the gear lube last fall, I had an analysis done as usual and it was all within spec but the amount of iron and chromium was increasing. This spring, I could feel a slight amount of play in the rear wheel. (54000 Km)
Looks to me like the rear drive is seriously thinking about self destructing.

Anyway - I was planning on trading it in on a 2015 K1600GTL - which I did last week!!!!

Re: Rear drive going?

Sounds like a good reason to trade! Hope you enjoy the new bike. They are quite different from the LT.

Hi John
I agree, the 1600 is a very different bike. I plan to ride it to CCR next year if the timing works out
