Honesty Required

I would like to throw out to the forum a question.
I have a Baehr comm system I removed from the bike. I have tried to sell it both on this sites classifieds and also Kijiji with no luck. My question therefore is, is this equipment now no longer wanted due to its age ? Have we moved passed this style of technology preferring Bluetooth over wired systems. If this unit has become a Dinosaur, should I reconcile myself and put it in the bin. Thank you.

Re: Honesty Required

Baehr is extremely robust & good quality system used by for example authorities in many countries. More question of BT-hype and willingness to get rid of cables. Still I do know many preferring traditional (AutoCom, StarCom, Baehr...) cord-based systems. Challenge is that world is clearly going to BlueTooth. For example Navigators "speak" mainly Bluetooth so one will need different type Bluetooth adapters in between the Baehr and equipment behind the sound in the helmet.

I would see this as a question: How to build it most simple & robust way. Individual needs, individual amount of different connections, does one want to discuss with fellow bikers by BT (or CB or whatever...)

Different solutions for different users - Baehr is a good piece of equipment for many needs if one can live with the cords.

Born to be wild so why not

Re: Honesty Required

Put it on fleabay....
When I got a 2nd bike I wanted to utilise a similar Autocom setup to the one I already had for the LT, and picked up a cheap but perfectly good unit on Ebay for about $70 from someone that jumped on the Scala bandwagon. Still had to buy the bluetooth connector to work with my phone, but saved me a lot of $$$ over a new unit.
Someone might buy it, even if it goes cheap.
...and that's worth my 2c
