Question Dash Lights

OK I have seen a pic of a dash with blue lights and have read about red and white lights so my question is of those three colors LED's what color is the favorite among this group?

Also has anyone seen a video of replacing the "Idiot" lights which are below the dash lights?

Re: Dash Lights

I installed Red LEDs on my dash. I do really like them. Soft to the eye and offers good contrast to the graphics.

Would you say that the red led's are brighter than the stock lights and are they bright enough for your you when running at night.

Later Steve

PS - Can you post a night time pic?

Hard to quantify relative to stock, but very easy and comfortable to me for night driving.

Re: Dash Lights

Nice change with the red lights on the instrument panel. Eventually, I plan to change out the bulbs and replace with either red or orange LEDs. Thanks for posting the pics.

Orange now that's different LOL.

I was thinking white or red and it seems red is the logical choice since I am "Canyon Red"..

You know the "Fastest Color" LOL

Well now that you have had these dash lights for a while are you still happy with them? There has been some questions about some bulbs not being bright enough. Are these bulbs from "SuperBright" (See Attachment)? Also people are quoting different part numbers. I am doing this now since I need to replace the speedo head and while I have the front end apart its time. I want to get the brightest red bulb I can. Some people have also said that they went back to incandescent and I don't have a problem with that either.

Thanks

Re: Dash Lights

Yes, I am still quite pleased with the red LEDs. Even though my LT is in its winter hibernation, I did make a visit earlier this past week long enough to turn the key, admire the dash and listen to some tunes on the radio. I will need to confirm later the specific part number that I ordered from Superbright LEDs.

PS I won the battle of not pushing the start button. Waiting until after winter.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am looking forward to getting the part numbers. I am seeing 3 led bulbs and 5 and or 6 led bulbs but I am not sure they would fit?

I found my invoice from Superbright LEDs. I had purchased 6 bulbs part # 74-RHP-Red at $2.49 ea., $14.94 plus s/h of $2.99, total 17.93. Sorry, I didn't check the date but guessing 2013-14.

In my opinion, this is a fairly simple project that has very nice results.

That's the problem of reading this forum. I always end up buying stuff I don't need.

Got the red ones. Not a big fan of blue light.
