Has anyone experienced slow speed

Has anyone experienced a front wheel wobble at slow speed , less then 5 mph, it happens when stopping or making a slow speed turn.

Re: Has anyone experienced slow speed

A few questions come to mind. For starters:
How severe is the wobble?
Tire press?
Make/model of tire?
How new is the tire?
Does it happen on all types of tarmac?
And does it only happen after leaving the pub?

Re: Has anyone experienced slow speed

at that speed something is loose, the tyre is out of round, but most likely bad cupping. To be safe 1st make sure the wheel is not loose.

Yes, the front tire was worn and cupped, put new tires on the bike and it went away

AIR PRESSURE. Check it first. The Metz 880 will do that if the tire pressure is low. Freaked me out when mine did it, new tires and the thing wobbled, found out the guy that installed the tires had a faulty pressure gauge and he under inflated the tires. I added air and the wobble went away.
Also, it is free to check and should be part of your normal bike checks anyway.

Re: Has anyone experienced slow speed

It may be after sitting for a while you need to get out an run it. Tires don't like to sit with all the weight in one spot for long periods, try taking a long ride, heat the tires up real good and see if it is still there, be sure to recheck tire pressure before the ride.
It is a good reason to ride if nothing else
