Re: another noobie question

All kind of grips have been used from bicycle to custom and I've never seen a post where the heaters didn't like them.

If you do a search for grips you'll find a lot of threads.

I personally use the Kuryakyn ISO grips in black and love them. They take a few seconds longer to warm up, but stay comfortable. I don't have to turn them off, on, off, on like the factory grips. They are more comfortable as the larger diameter seems to be better at not causing cramps. The throttle boss is nice too, it sits far enough out that I can keep my hand inside of it when in stop and go traffic, moving out for longer runs in town (just use cruise control on highways.)

Re: another noobie question

just put grip puppies over them (foam) the heat still works through them, they also open your hand a little which also aids in hand cramps

+1 on the Grip Puppies! Grab On also makes the foam slip over grips. I have used these repeatedly on my '00 LT and never replaced the original grips. Plus the increase in diameter along with the soft grip makes them much more comfortable.
