Lt1200 2005

i have recently changed a dead battery and when I tried to start the bike there is just a single click like sound but nothing else. Has anybody any ideas. All the dash lights are on and working. There is enough power in the battery to lift the bike with electric stand.

Check your reverse switch first. and make sure your alarm reset.

If arming then disarming the alarm does not work, double check to make sure you have ALL the wires back on the positive post. For stock 05 there should be 3 - 6 mm red wires; 1- 4 mm red wire and 1 - 10 mm Black/Yellow with red sleeve all on the positive terminal.

Re: Lt1200 2005

This is just me but once I got it working I would switch my alarm to the mode where you have to arm it with the remote and not automatically. I believe it might have been "mode B". Luckily when I had my K1200LT the previous owner had already done that. I had disconnected my battery or removed it several times and never had an issue with the alarm. I did have an issue one time with my headlight but it was because I DID miss a wire.
