Getting in pretty deep, eh? Looks good. Weep hole for the little chamber of the clutch slave cylinder and why not a little one under the clutch if oil from that seal your changing and will never have to worry about again. Good job.

The only thing missing from the shop is a naked girl pin-up. But of course it is cleverly placed behind the tool box lid so if the SO comes in she won't be offened , right?

Re: Am I there yet?

Thanks for the comments about the shop. It is small and compact, but everything is within reach and I know where everything is located. As for my jest on the teardown of the K bike: It was a running '99 that was built the same month as my current ride. It had a fairly new paint job which I suspected was hiding some sort of damage. I rode it home 100 miles and the only function not working was the reverse. I did find a broken frame tab where the left protection bar was mounted and the dash panel tabs had been broken and repaired. The brake fluid looked like motor oil, the engine oil was over filled, so maintenance is suspect. My intentions were to purchase this bike as a parts bike for my current ride and since my current ride is just starting to show signs of a slipping clutch, I can have some practical knowledge in regards to the teardown to get to the rear main seal. I've spent many years maintaining my airheads, but wrenching on this bike is a little different, but it's only nuts and bolts, right? Me and my wife really enjoy the pleasures to be had on a K bike and when it comes to taking longer trips, it can't be beat.
